Qualifications

I graduated with Distinction from the MSc Finance and Accounting programme at Imperial College London, earning a Distinction for my research project, “The Power of Words in Asset Pricing: A Machine Learning-Driven Multi-Factor Model Incorporating Textual Investor Sentiment for Equity Risk Premium Prediction.” I have also been selected to participate in the prestigious International Module “Corporate Finance for Practitioners” in Singapore in 2025. 

I successfully completed my MSc in Applied Finance from the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, in 2024, graduating with distinction and an impressive GPA of 3.94/4. I demonstrated outstanding academic excellence by achieving 14 A grades out of 15 courses, including an A for my dissertation. 

I successfully completed my BSc. Finance (Special) degree from the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2018, achieving a First Class distinction with a GPA of 3.95/4. I demonstrated exceptional academic prowess by obtaining 38 A's out of the 40 subjects I undertook, underscoring my commitment to achieving comprehensive excellence. 

I completed my advanced level education at Kingswood College in Kandy, specializing in the Commerce Stream. I attained A grades in Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, and General English. My exceptional academic performance led me to secure the highest results within the school, and I ranked 11th in the district with a Z-score of 2.36. This achievement qualified me for enrollment in the premier Faculty of Management in Sri Lanka.

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment is a global professional body for those in the financial and investment profession. My membership number is  337319

The Institute of CHARTERED Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka) is a Professional Body for Managers set up with the assistance of All India Management Association (AIMA) and CMA Sri Lanka. CPM Sri Lanka is recognized internationally and is an active member of the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA). AMDISA includes Management Institutes of all the SAARC Countries. CPM Sri Lanka has signed an MOU with the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) to facilitate professional development, knowledge exchange and capacity building in order to develop competent management professionals in Sri Lanka. In 2014, I initiated my CIMA journey, successfully finishing both the Certificate and Diploma Levels. Notably, I achieved a remarkable 6th global ranking for the Financial Operations subject in the same year. 

I completed IELTS in June 2023 and was able to Secure a Overall Band of 8/9  (Listening 9/9, Reading 8.5/9, Writing 6.5/9, Speaking 7/9)
