As the Department industry Links coordinator , I did all the necessities for the MoU singed between the University of Peradeniya and Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) Sri Lanka was signed on the 6th of February 2023, at the Senate Room of the University of Peradeniya. Through this MoU, the CSE makes arrangements to provide internship opportunities to students who are specialized in Accounting & Finance and sponsor an annual budget of up to Rs. 200,000 for capital market-related events, which the University of Peradeniya organizes in collaboration with the CSE. Moreover, the CSE will grant an award annually to the student who obtained the highest-Grade Point Average (GPA) in the Accounting & Finance Specialization area of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Honours Degree Programme.

This understanding aims to establish a long-term collaborative relationship to promote ethics and industry best practices upheld by the CFA Institute (US), increase awareness the scholarships granted by the CFA Institute among students, and facilitate resource personnel for guest lectures and other knowledge sharing initiatives to improve learning and the marketability of graduates.
Varsity Battles – Inter University Capital Market Quiz Competition 2023
Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Colombo Stock Exchange organizes an inter university quiz competition with the intention of creating an awareness among the undergraduates of the state universities on the capital market. Interfaculty Competition at the University of Peradeniya was organized by the Department of Business Finance, Faculty of Management. The Competition was held on 21st June from 9.00 a.m. onwards at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Management.19 teams from 8 Faculties participated in the competition, among them, Team 2 from Faculty of Science emerged as the winners and grabbed the cash prize of Rs. 75,000, while Team 2 from Faculty of Medicine and Team 1 from Faculty of Dental Sciences won the second and third places respectively. All three teams will be advanced to the inter university competition that will be held on the final quarter of 2023. I was the main cordinator of this event from UOP.
43rd Annual Colours Night 2017 - University of Sri Jayewardenepura
As the Sports Council 2017 under my leadership we organized the 43rd Annual Colours Night with the collaboration of the Physical Education department and the Sports Advisory Board. This was the biggest colours night in history of USJP, more than 550 Students and Invitees Participated, budget was over Rs. 3 Million which was covered using sponsorships from Peoples bank, Laugfs Holdings, USJP Alumni , Advertisements , banners and funds from the university, it was Held at a Five star hotel Waters Edge Hotel battaramulla .
As the lecturer of Banking Subject , I organized a field trip for 2nd year undergraduates of Department of Business Finance to visit the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Bank of Ceylon head office on 30th of November 2022. Through this filed visit students gained a practical exposure on how the banking system in Sri Lanka works by attending the lecture conducted by Deputy Director of CBSL, Dr.Lankapathy Sritharan and by visiting the dealing room of BOC Treasury Department. Also, the knowledge on history of Sri Lankan currency was fine-tuned by visiting to the currency museums of CBSL and BOC.
The Out Bound Training (OBT) program of Faculty of Management University of Peradeniya was successfully conducted on 30th January 2022 at Rathnasiri Wickramanayake National Training Center, Hanthana, Kandy in collaboration with Commando Regiment of Sri Lanka Army for both Academic and Non-academic staff members . This was an action and activity based behavioral training for employee development based on experiential learning methodology of ‘learning by doing’, ‘hands-on experience’ and includes outdoor, adventure, team building activities that engage participants to bring out the desired learning outcomes. The aims of the OBT program were to enhance the collaboration and coordination of the staff of the Faculty of Management to have an effective working environment at the faculty, make all the staff aware of the faculty development plan and the strategic actions, and obtain their fullest contribution in implementing such actions in different capacities.
Events Organized at Faculty Sports Club and Recreational Center
As the General Secretary of the University Sports Club and Recreational Center, I have organized a variety of events and seminars to engage and educate the university community. I planned entertainment events like Game Night, Quiz Night, and Karaoke Night, each designed to provide a fun, interactive atmosphere for relaxation and community building. Game Night involved various interactive activities, Quiz Night focused on trivia and learning in a playful setting, and Karaoke Night offered a platform for music and camaraderie.
Additionally, I organized educational seminars on important topics. The seminar "Lifestyle Modifications to Prevent Occupational Hazards" aimed to educate attendees about reducing risks associated with occupational hazards through lifestyle changes. Another seminar, "Songs and Chats Might Save a Life," combined music with mental health awareness, highlighting the importance of open conversations and the therapeutic impact of music on mental well-being. These activities reflect my commitment to enriching the university experience through diverse opportunities for leisure, education, and personal growth.
